Idea Mobile Services Launched in Mumbai

The Aditya Birla group-promoted Idea Cellular Wednesday launched its mobile service operation here.

"Mumbai is the commercial capital of India. From today, we will set the mobile telephony standards in this city," said Aditya Birla group chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla at the launch of the service.

"This is a landmark day for Idea. The Mumbai launch bolsters our position as a leading telecom player in India," he added.

Idea Mumbai, which will operate on a 1,800 MHz frequency, aims to have an initial network of 1,000 cell sites, Birla said.

Along with this, Idea will open a round-the-clock call center and 60 exclusive showrooms.

It will also enter the data card and the local phone booth segment, popularly known as PCO or public call office.

i have horrible expereience by choosing idea cellularservice, my connection was disconnected without any reason, i have called csutomer care and visited five idea shop for complaint everybody has note my complaint but nobody able solve, worst part of it that they kept me hold for 3 to 15 minutes and disconnect my line. their sr. executives Mr. Swaminanthan & Ms Nisha are useless they dont know how to talk to customer above all Mr. Hosefa Naterwala Sr. Manager is not at all fir for his job, he is biggest liar and of not at all capable for his post.i request all not to buy any idea connection if you buy your life will be changed from peacful to hell, YOU WILL BECOME FOOTBALL, AS THEY WILL YOU KICK YOU BETWEEN CUSTOMER CARE TO IDEA SHOP.

Well, I agree that !dea has been lagging far behind other operators and provides a worthless/disgusting service to the customers as well as their own brand shops and privilege outlets.

I've worked with Idea for 4 long years with Idea cellular. Had put in lot of efforts, but all in vain. I'm very happy with BSNL nowadays.

hey guys dont go 4 idea connection.. i hav been using both airtel and idea (kerala)....idea has one of d worst customer service...i have actiavted unlimited gprs plan but lost almost 300rs in a single day..i asked 4 deactivation nd they took 7 days to do tht...all those days i was loosing money( 9/day).....

wht an IDEA?????
