Reliance Communications has launched a new Mobile Radio service on its CDMA phones. The service is available to both, post paid and prepaid subscribers of Reliance Mobile, Reliance Hello and postpaid Reliance landline subscribers across the country.
Customers can access the service, by dialing 51234777 and is available in eight Indian languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Gujarati and Punjabi among others. This service can also be used by customers who don’t have in-built radio in their Reliance handsets.
Mahesh Prasad, President, Applications, Solutions and Content Group, Reliance Communications said, "Reliance Communications has always been at the forefront to drive mass adoption of Value Added Services in India. Now with the launch of the Mobile Radio service, the fundamental barrier between a mobile & a radio has been bridged. Effectively every phone becomes an 'FM like' Radio Phone for those who have missed out on buying and FM enabled phone. Shortly we will be also providing access to regional content similar to various radio stations that are popular across Indian cities."
Reliance Mobile Radio has a daily schedule of categories such as devotional, latest hits, ever green and romantic. The customers subscribing to this service will have the option of accessing complete songs of one’s choice and will also have the flexibility to skip or replay.
