Vodafone Slashes STD, Roaming Rates
By: Tech2.com News Staff   |   May 07,2008
Less than 10 days after Airtel slashed its STD and roaming rates, Vodafone is doing the same.

The mobile service provider has announced a uniform tariff structure for STD and roaming services for all its customers across India, cutting current rates. The new tariffs have come into effect from yesterday, May 6, 2008.

Customers will now be able to make STD calls at Rs. 1.30/min to any destination within India. Roaming rates have been reduced to Re 1/min for all incoming and local outgoing calls, while STD calls made while on roaming will be charged at Rs. 1.50/min.

Airtel had slashed its STD rates to Re 1.50/ minute with incoming calls while on roaming charged at Re. 1/minute.

it's regular step for telecommunication companies in india all are depend on BSNL a goverment INDIAN Company, so, if they reduce call cost then private company must reduce it.
