Telecom giant, Vodafone has launched its live web portal, Vodafone Mobile Internet, to allow its customers to access websites such as ebay, YouTube, MySpace and Hotmail on mobile devices.
Vodafone promises that its customers will experience a significant improvement in the way they access the internet from their phones, with the freedom to surf whenever and wherever they want under the new value pricing scheme.
The company added that it will not be necessary for most customers to upgrade their mobiles in order to use the Vodafone Mobile Internet. Representatives said the new service is both easy to use and personalize, allowing millions of customers to make the most of their time.
Vodafone Mobile Internet uses bespoke technology to convert firms' web sites to a mobile-friendly version. Sites are separated into various categories such as personal finance, communities and shopping, while users can access a Google search bar to find their sites.
The new service is offered at £7.50 per month for unlimited internet usage and a 'pay-as-you-go' fee model, roughly equaling £1 a day.
