Intel Launches 2 C2D-based ULV Processors
By: Jayesh Mansukhani   |   Apr 09,2007
Intel in a major step forward, has introduced two new Core2Duo based ULV processors. The Core2Duo U7600 and U7500 ultra-low voltage (ULV) processors are intended for use in small form mobile computers such as tablets and notebooks.

In terms of specifications, the U7600 comes clocked at 1.2 GHz while the U7500 has a clock speed of 1.06 GHz. Both the processors also have 2 MB of L2 cache and sport a 533 MHz FSB. These processors individually provide TDP (thermal design power) of around 10 watts. This makes their power requirement much lower than other Core2Duo mobile processors, which operate at higher power levels of 17 Watts and 34 Watts.

Products based on these new processors will be available later this year.
