Acer Introduces Laptop Range at Rs. 19,999

Acer has introduced its new series of budget the Aspire 6380 series, which is an ultra-budget range and cost just Rs. 19,999. This new series of laptops use a Celeron M 430 (1.73 GHz) processor; feature 256mb of system memory, a 14.1-inch wide-screen, and a DVD-R combo drive. The OS being used on this new range will be in Linux.  The  price of INR 19,999 is being achieved via a special limited period offer of INR 2500/- as cash back offer on purchases till 25th June 07.

With the Acer Aspire 3680 series, we have once again broken all barriers without compromising on features, a first in the industry.”

Everything is good except their Linux OS, it won't support my software otherwise great

With no competition in the market so far, it could make sense in waiting and watching for what brands othet than Acer have to do about laptops being available in so unbeatable and attractive prices!

Wow, at this price, this is really going to kickstart the move to laptops. Who cares if it has got a lousy processor, low memory, it'll still be good enough for most regular operations.
