The 1st of April is rapidly approaching so we have a few more rumors than usual. First it was the 'Lost' game and now it's Halo 3. Although Halo 3 rumors have been circulating the Net from the time Halo 2 was out, it's fun to talk about them nevertheless. According to IGN, Halo 3 (or Halo: Forerunners) is to be released sometime during March 2007 to coincide with the theatrical release of the Halo flick, negating rumors that Bungie would release the third iteration around the same time as Sony's PlayStation3's launch (November 2007).
The game will supposedly tie up all the loose ends of Halo 2, and presumably leave some more loopholes so that Microsoft can milk this franchise to the max.
Microsoft may unveil some sort of footage at E3, if this rumor is to be believed; so let's all patiently wait and watch (just like MS wants us to).On the other hand, if you don't have the patience to wait for Halo 3, or don't own a 360, or just don't give a crap, you could play Halo 2 on your PC by the end of this year, as long as you are running MS's soon-to-be-released-resource-hungry OS, Vista.
Don't you just love Microsoft?!
