Every aspect of Army of Two has been developed keeping two players in mind; in fact the whole co-op element of this game extends beyond conventional boundaries as well. In case your teammate has taken one too many hits and finds himself on his death bed, you will be able to bring him back from the brink of death using CPR (a small mini-game played with your analog sticks), while he on the other hand (this is assuming your playing with another human) will have to indulge in another mini game that has him running away from the "white light"; corny, but innovative. Let’s say he’s not mortally wounded and you don’t have to administer CPR, you’ll still be able to drag him to safety, but don’t worry, he won’t just slump along like a sack of potatoes, he’ll return fire (and pass a couple of cocky comments alone the way) as well.
Another USP of this game is the fact that you can customize your weapon like never before (the Autosculpting of shooters maybe?); attach silencers, flashlights, grenade and more to your machine guns, fuse flamethrowers or snipers with shotguns; hell, if you’re the bling loving type you’ll even be able to chrome your gun with a gold trim. While the game sounds really cool, I only hope EA can pull this off and this whole co-op gameplay doesn’t end up a cheap gimmick that gets boring after 10 minutes. Unfortunately we don’t have a concrete release date as of now so we’ll just have to sit tight and wait till mid 2007 when the game releases for both, the PS3 and the Xbox 360.
