The Bourne Conspiracy
By: Avinash Bali   |   Jan 22,2008
Remember Darkwatch? The first person shooter released on both the PS2 and the Xbox in 2005 that had you slaughtering vampires and all sorts of supernatural oddities in the Wild West? Doesn’t ring a bell? How about the seductive little tramp called Tala who was extremely well-endowed and wasn’t afraid to flaunt it? Nothing yet?

Anyway, the reason I went into that small flashback was to familiarize you with developer High Moon Studios who after werewolves, vampires and the Wild West have set their sights on the Bourne franchise. Taking a page from both the books written by Robert Ludlum as well the Matt Damon flicks, the Bourne Conspiracy for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 (no love for PC gamers once again) plans to explore the Bourne universe in a manner that’s never been done before.

What this means is that in the course of the game players will actually learn the true identity of Jason Bourne in the form of fully playable flashback missions. In addition they can even relive certain key moments from the movies, such as the escape from the American Embassy (Bourne Identity), the apartment fight (Bourne Identity again), and many more. Unfortunately, fans of Matt Damon may be a bit disappointed since he isn’t a part of this project, so yeah, Jason Bourne is going to have to carve a brand new identity for himself.

Avinash,
Any info on when this game is going to hit Indian or Asian shores? The release date of 3rd Jun is the US one I belive.

pretty impressed with the graphics of this game....and I dont think its going be to anything like Max-Payne-ish...but the combat factor is going to set this apart from any other shooters out there....also heard that there's no multiplayer on this, but another advantage is that the developers have spent their asses on finishing up the single player mode, which is gooood...

It looks like one of my all time favourite games: "Max Payne"!
