Tabula Rasa was first announced in 2004, but it’s been through a million changes since then. Now, after 3 years, the game is shaping up to become one badass title, so lets take a look at what we can expect from it. This is a science fiction themed massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that focuses primarily on fast-paced FPS styled gameplay (you will be able to switch between first and third perspectives). The team that developed Ultima Online is behind this game (who are now part of NCSoft), so you can be quite certain that they know what they’re doing.
The game will take place in a war torn setting, where humans are close to being annihilated by an alien race known as the 'Bane'. The Bane invaded Earth and destroyed most of humanity, sending what’s left of the humans fleeing into the stars, till they could muster their forces to strike back and reclaim what’s theirs. Now, the humans are locked in an inter-planetary war with the Bane, with the dream of rebuilding their home world. So where do you fit into the story? Well, you’re one of the hot-blooded rebel soldiers who’ve enlisted themselves to fuel the human rebellion and help save humanity. You are sent onto the frontlines of this epic war to slay the bad guys using a huge arsenal of Melee and ranged weapon, and your 'Logo' abilities (which is kind of like magic taught to you be an alien race).
