These days we have so many people tuned in to the cell phone networks it’s unbelievable. Right from your local Pan-Wallah to the rickshaw driver to the businessman who commutes in a chauffeur-driven Benz. So we know that manufacturers are making devices to suit all walks of life. But the thing is; what if I'm a bit fussy and want something that’s inexpensive, looks good and manages to meet at least one of my really basic media cravings? Enter Motorola’s RADIOMOTO W209 (no it’s not a Walkman phone rip off!). But let’s see if it meets all the requirements.
Form Factor
The W209 has a very conventional candy-bar design. But in no way does it look conventional. Though it may look like any other Motorola phone, it has a cool, classy, sophisticated look about it. It has a small but legible 128x128 pixel resolution display with 65k colors. Beneath the screen is a 5-way navigation pad. On either side of it, at the top, are 2 "Open" keys that can be assigned to any function. Below them are the answer and end call keys. The key pad has Hindi and English imprinted. And trust me when I tell you, I’ve seen plenty of people who think that’s a godsend.
At the top on the right and left sides are the 2.5mm earphone and charger socket respectively. The rear has, of course the sim card slot that’s underneath the battery.
