Bose in-ear Headphones

Very Good Sound Quality
Good bass reproduction, especially with such small drivers.
Extremely Expensive

Performance & Conclusion
This is one department where Bose excels. The sound quality is very good and warm though not excellent. Also, the bass is reproduced really well, especially with such small drivers. Overall the level of detail is good and balanced.

Everything is good about the earphones but the price. They are terribly expensive at Rs. 5625 and even though they sound good they don't command that kind of money. For around Rs. 1200-1500 you can get canal earphones from Creative, the EP-630, that sound just as good and also come with different sized ear tips. You may argue that they belong to different categories. Well yea, the Creative one is of the type canal and offers passive noise cancellation which is a plus point. On the other hand the in-ear type earphones from Bose sit in the bowl of the ear without forming an isolating seal and are good for people who don't like that kind of proximity.

But at the end of the day, most people want value for money and this is where the Bose In-ear headphones falter.

I am delighted with these earphones; light, comfortable and very good bass. no problems with them staying put. I have noise cancelling headphones--that is not what I bought these- for. as usual a bit pricey, but that's Bose.

you cannot achieve the high quality of sound with out the silicone buds the damn things don't stay in your ears, on principle alone consumers will move on to other products, most People will not pay again just to have another set of ear buds

Try Skull candy's revision of their ink'd smokin buds.
The price tag roughly translates to 450-600 rupees (10-12 US dollars) depending on your source of retail. Keep in mind the model number as the older model is inferior.SC-ink/blk (for the black ones). For the price tag these babies will rock your world. They are quite comparable to models in the 2000 range and definitely a match for bose considering the price tag difference. These are in ear phones and come with three sized silicon buds.
Try them, and if you want, review them.
Heres the specs
Gold plated 3.5 mm plug (standard)
20-20k hz frequency range
11mm driver
1.3 metre cable
impendace 16ohms +/- 15%
max power input at 100mW

I completely agree with Karen regarding being able to get the silicone tips, the earphones are wothless without them and those little buggers don't stay on, plus the tear easily. For $100 earphones this sucks!

has anyone figured out a way to get the silicon tips? i lost one as well
kelly @ Jun 24, 2007
I bought a pair of Bose in-ear Headphones and in the first week lost one of the remvable silicone tips, I have just lost the second. I can't believe they don't sell them separately and suggest we write or ring to complain. UK phone no. 0870 7414500.

Sound is ok, so headphones are not bad, But Rei was right about removable silicone - I am also looking for new tips.
lana @ May 05, 2007
Freaking BAD BAD product - you wil lose your removable silicone tips
in firts month, then you will replace it with another size and lose again. And there is no way you can buy new removable silicone tips
- only new set of everything for another $100
BAD

my only impression of this product is the bass improvement in quality. and of course design is much more comfortable if you wear it long.
