With malls coming up at every nook and corner, retail is getting bigger by the day! I hate it in some ways, but mostly I’m in awe. A few years back you wouldn't have seen an entire gamut of headphones housed under one roof. India is still far behind Europe and the US in this regard, but we're getting there, if superstores like Hypercity are any indication.
I haven’t seen much from Cresyn yet, but what I did see gave me mixed impressions. I saw a couple of headphones at the Imagine Store at Atria Mall, and decided to call them in for a review.
The HP-500 is not cut out to drive music meant for hardcore performance, so audiophiles beware! Cresyn is currently being imported as a goodlooking and matching iPod accessory. It is off-white, with black head cushions and earcups. The outside of the earcups are mirrored, and look kind of cheesy to me. Like I said, it goes well with your iPod, and I don’t see any other reason why anyone should suggest an off-white pair of big headphones.
It has a cord length of 1.5 meters and a 3.5 mm stereo gold-plated plug (5.5 mm converter included). It weighs around 124g and can get slightly uncomfortable and stuffy in humid conditions.
Exceptional sound at a reasonable price. Some of my musician friends tried them and have been impressed. Highly recommended!!!
