Sahara Media Center PC

Conclusion
The Sahara media center PC with no composite or component out, cannot connect to a standard definition television which most of us use. On the other hand with a VGA out, it can be used with a high-definition television but the people with that level of affordability would certainly expect more processing power and add-ons like a powerful graphics card and Wi-Fi support. Besides they would also like to play some high-definition content which this machine can barely keep pace with. Although there is no legal way to play high definition content on this media center PC, guys who know what high definition is surely know how bit torrent works. So that leaves us with the only option of using it with the supplied 17-inch LCD monitor (though you have the option to buy the machine without the monitor). The reason why I am discussing all this is because one the most expensive investments in a media center as compared to a normal PC is the chassis. And if you don’t intended on keeping it in your living room, you could very well do without it and opt for far lesser expensive conventional chassis which offers better cooling and the ability to accommodate components like graphics cards, by default.
We recommend AMD's X2 range of dual core processors over the Pentium D's. They cost just a little bit more, are better performers and run cooler. Secondly, you can easily do without the Windows Media Center Remote and as a matter of fact even the Media Center Edition Operating System. Good TV Tuners like Compro's Gold Plus II come with a fully functional remote control and TV tuning and recording software.
Bottom Line—Sahara's Media Center is a complete package with all the necessary features. But if you are willing to build your own system, for the same amount of money, you can do much better.
