The first and the foremost change you will observe is that the black PCB is replaced with a more generic looking green color PCB. The CPU area has a lot of free space. All the big capacitors have been pushed to the end of the board and you have ample space to use huge third party coolers. The 680i LT uses active cooling as opposed to passive heat pipe cooling for the 680i (a fan is provided as an attachment). I personally prefer active cooling but then the downside is the noise produced as small fans at high rpm are a little noisy. But in this case the fans are quite silent. The power connectors are at an unusual location between the 4-pin mole connector and the first memory slot.
When you come down you will notice that there are no diagnostic LEDs and the inbuilt speaker as in the 680i. Also missing are the power and reset buttons. The third PCI-Express card is missing here. Anyway, not many people as of now are availing its benefits and eliminating it in the board is a smart decision.
