Sound is provided by Realtek's ALC885 HD Codec as in the 680i though the 680i LT has only a single Gigabit LAN port as opposed to two on the 680i, also stripping it of its DualNET technology.
The bios on the 680i LT is almost similar to that of the 680i minus a few enhancements. Nvidia still uses the AwardBIOS that it uses on the other 6 series board. The FSB and the memory configuration is very similar to that of the 680i. As in the 680i the 680i LT still supports asynchronous memory clocking. The differences in the boards mostly lie in the voltage options. The CPU core voltage cuts out at 1.6 volts for the LT as compared to 1.8 volts for the 680i. The CPU FSB voltage cuts out at 1.4 volts as compared to 1.5 volts for the 680i. The memory voltage tops at 2.5 volts for both the boards which is good enough for the memory available. Finally, the nForce SPP voltage setting that used to up to 1.55 volts for the 680i is down to 1.4 volts.
