Slider phones, in my opinion are convenient to use due to the sheer ergonomics of the device itself. For one thing the keypad is already protected and it also helps reduce the overall; size of the phone. Except for the bulkier models. But these days that doesn’t seem to be problem as manufacturers have managed to shave off a few millimeters here and there and we end up with “Slim Sliders”. The Spice S-909 isn’t an exception.
Form Factor
The S-909 is a small and stylishly designed slider phone. Though it does resemble the Samsung E250, there are a few differences. The 1.9-inch, 256k color display sporting a 176x220 pixel resolution is not utilized well considering the dull inbuilt themes, but it’s clear nevertheless. The slide out keypad is a bit small so typing is not as easy as it may look. It’ll take a little getting used to. The S-909’s five way nav-pad (each point can be assigned to any feature) really comes in handy for navigating the menus and the 2 keys above the Call Taker and end keys are open to be assigned to any function.
On the left side of the phone at the bottom is the All-In-One USB connector and if you've read one of our previous articles, this is really one of the most annoying features in mobiles these days. The same port has to be used for PC connectivity as well as for the charger and the earphones. The external MicroSD card slot is located at the top of the phone right beside what appears to be a camera key that won't depress. That's because that's merely to indicate that that's where the camera is located, which you'll see when you slide the phone down.
So, where is the power switch you ask? There doesn’t seem to be any indication of the sort anywhere. But like most phones the Call End key also doubles as the Power key (even though most phones have an indicator). So all you have to do is keep it pressed for a few seconds sorry "Quite a few seconds" and Presto! The phone springs to life.
worst phones ever. Specifications given are wrong. Dont go for spice mobiles. Dont believe in spice. After spice service centers are also very worst. I didn't see such a worst service ever.
