The Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick is a TV tuner with a difference. Along with analog TV (your regular cable TV) you can watch and record Digital Terrestrial TV on your laptop or computer. DVB-T is the standard used and it stands for Digital Video Broadcast- Terrestrial. The DVB-T system transmits compressed audio/video stream using coding methods like MPEG-2 and more recently H.264. India has adopted the DVB-T standard and you can tune into 5 channels from Doordarshan. The channels are DD1, DD2, DD Sports, DD Bharti and DD Sahyadri. Currently DVB-T is only available in the four metro cities—Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. There’s also some interesting news on the DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcast- Handheld) front, its hand-held counterpart. Nokia has partnered with Doordarshan for a pilot project to test out the DVB-H technology. Using this we will be able to receive TV on our mobile phones.

Price is Rs. 7500. Prices for products being reviewed is always mentioned in the last concluding paragraph, unless the review has a specification table (mostly with laptop reviews), where in it would be mentioned there.
