Asus Radeon 1950XTX

First Card To Use GDDR4
Runs Significantly Cooler
Incremental Performance Upgrade
Expensive

F.E.A.R Benchmark

The performance remains consistent with the Radeon easily keeping up with 7950 GX2. Clearly ATI has done a good job here of keeping the card's performance on par with the 7950 GX2.

Overall this card has few positive features. It does use, GDDR4 at 1000 MHz and sports a re-designed HSF which does keep the card running cooler. This really helps, if you are one of the lucky few to have a 20+ inch LCD or CRT this card is just the right thing for you. However if you do already own a Radeon 1900XTX series or a Nvidia 7900 Series card it is pointless upgrading to the new generation. Priced at Rs 37,750 this card is an incremental upgrade and you would be better off getting Nvidia’s new G80 GPU which will be available in the market from next week.
