Visually the game looks gorgeous, thanks to the Legend engine and a very commendable feat on Crystal Dynamic’s part is that the game’s very scalable which means you won’t need a high end PC to play it; in fact Shayne, our resident technology reviewer for mobile phones is playing the game on a pretty crappy rig that comprises of AMD Athlon 3000+ with an onboard Nvidia 6150 chipset and is thoroughly enjoying it. People who’ve played through the original game will be truly amazed with the coat of paint and polish Crystal Dynamics have applied to their beloved title.
So if you’ve not guessed by now, the game rocks and is highly recommended by not only me, but most of the Tech2 team as well since it offers the best of both worlds combining the awesomeness of Tomb Raider Legend with all the stuff that made the first game a blast to play. This review has been based on the PC version but the game’s out for the PS2 as well and while it may not look as good as its PC counterpart, it’s still a pretty good looking game. Xbox 360 owners will have their shot at the game this September in the form of episodic content provided they possess a copy of TRL.
