Creative has, well let's just say they have a knack of being just that. The Zen Vision:M is no exception to the kind of ease and functionality that Creative incorporates into their devices. But let’s just see how functional it really is shall we.
Form Factor
I’ll be straight with you (after all that's my job), the Vision:M is a bit bulky with specs like 104 x 62 x 18.6mm and a wee bit heavy at 163g. The brilliant 2.5-inch TFT LCD that supports a 320 x 240 pixel resolution and 262k colors is great for movies and what not. Plus you can also choose from six different colored themes. It has four cottons on either side of the over sensitive (even on low sensitivity) vertical touchpad. On the right of the pad you’ll see the Play/pause key and underneath that is the menu key. On the left is an Open key that can be assigned to particular functions and underneath that is the return or back key that takes you to the previous page. On the right and left edges of the scroll pad are the skip/rewind keys.
The top of the Vision:M has a single switch that works as the power and hold key as well. And the bottom has a propriety slot that's required to be used with an adapter that’s equipped with 3 slots for PC connectivity via USB (the Vision:M can also be charged this way), a 5V DC socket for charging through a wall socket and my personal favorite an AV out so you can hook it up to your TV to view pictures or videos. And finally on the right side at the top you’ll see a small hole with a mic symbol beside it that’s the inbuilt microphone for voice recording.
