Video
Wow! Most of the files I tried to convert didn’t need to be, like AVI, DivX 4 & 5, XviD, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG4-SP, and WMV9. Since most video files these days be coded in these formats conversion is unnecessary. The software simply informs you that the file is compatible and asks for it to be transferred and that takes hardly any time. This is a great time-saver. Picture quality is great.
In case your file is in a Wide-Screen format the Vision:M gives you the option of "Fit to screen", or stretching the picture if need be. That’s of course totally up to you. You can rewind or fast forward the videos using the keys at the side of the scroll pad or you can increase the Playback Speed so you can view scenes while forwarding.
Pictures
You can also transfer your images to the device and let me tell you, they look pretty darn good. Depending on the folder you select, a folder with the same name will be created in the player and your images will be transferred there (just like with your music files). And of course you have thumbnail views of each folder's contents so you can simply use the scroll pad to navigate and select the picture you'd like to view.
