Tech / Memory
The CPU has actually been upgraded from 220 mhz to 330 mhz. The N95 runs on Symbian OS 9.2 so that makes it a S60 3rd Edition with Feature Pack 1. And this baby is really wired for all kinds of connectivity.

This is the first of Nokia’s smartphones that has HSDPA (3.5G) for quicker-than-normal downloads. Not that it (or even 3G) matters here, but it's provided anyways. For the less privileged, the N95 does have EDGE, so no worries there. Connectivity is quick and smooth with not many hang-ups. The N95 also has an RSS reader to keep you updated on the latest of news and things and the phone also supports push email.

With regards to the internet you have your choice of either using EDGE or Wi-Fi. And of course you have a set up wizard to help you out with the connections. But I did have a few problems setting up the connections in certain places. It refused to connect and kept giving me errors like 'Invalid access point' or 'No connection available' even though it showed me that it had a found a point. Now this could be just a problem with my service provider but it could frustrate someone who really needs it and is unable to use it. SO if you know what you're doing when it comes to settings and connectivity, good! If not, this may not necessarily be the phone for you. But then again, the phone isn’t only about internet connectivity is it?

And just to make things really interesting for users, this technological marvel also has a built-in VOIP client (a service that allows you to make calls over the internet) and it has a dedicated function for the same. Again its not rocket science to get that hooked up as well. All you need do is select a provider. The phone can be switched onto dual mode and it can auto select the service if available. So like I said it does it everything. Super!

The N95 has Bluetooth but with A2DP compatibility. Now not only can you connect a Bluetooth headset but it also has a separate function for connecting a wireless keyboard. Nice! The phone is also equipped with infrared, not that too many people have a use for it but it’s there again i guess for posterity. So as you can see nothing has been left to chance.

The N95 is equipped with a GPS receiver as well so you can find your way around. All you need to do again is simply open the software and there you go. You have the option of simply entering an address and getting the directions to that location. But you will have to download the maps though. Tried and tested with no problems and connectivity to the satellites is a cinch.

The phone has a whooping 120MB of internal memory and comes with a 1GB card as well so there’s plenty of space for your music, videos, and maps. Fully Loaded!

is dis fone worth buying ? pl reply
Rahul @ Oct 11, 2007
The worst thing about the N95 is the lack of touch screen / qwerty key board, which is a must for email and browsing. it is a pain to do typing, navigating, selecting with the keyboard. Till date there is not a single phone is available in the Market that can meet my requirements. That's a pity with the technology available.
BSKUmar @ Sep 04, 2007
The N95 turned out to be a fabulous buy for me. Definitely worth the money i have spent on it ...to a large extent.

The speakers, camera and clarity on the phone is perfect! i actually hve more music on this now dan i do in my car!

Pix are o a good quality too only issue is dat da flutter takes a lil longer unlike the sony ericsson cybershot cameras...so dat is annoyin!

wap unfortunately doesnt seem to work in india but i guess apart from that - killa features, great design sense and absolutely marvelous solutions provided!

keep at it!

aman @ Jun 20, 2007
Hi Guys, This phone looks good from outside but the disadvantage is too bulky and just for show off nothing else. Battery life shown in specs. is in standard condition. If you really start using the phone it might be lesser than commited. I must say its better go with some decent Sony Ericsson mobile which gives you everything at the price its worth to spend. I won't recommend this mobile at this price.
MaX @ Jun 12, 2007
Guys can anyone tell me if the battery of this phone is any good? I heard (quite interestingly from the vendor) that the talk time is just about 3 hrs and in standby mode its about 1 day at best. Is this true? Some advice from you knowledgeable people, which is the best phone to buy. I need a stylish phone with decent camera, good music player and FM. Should be sleek too :) How is Sony Erricson W880i? Is that worth a buy?
Gman @ Jun 12, 2007
hi whts da rate of dis........
DIVYANK @ May 19, 2007

A. Mitra aka 935m @ May 17, 2007
I bought mine with a bill for 33k. heck..its even available on ebay right now for 31k. this phone is a must have ...it integrates everything into one small package. even the GPS maps for all the metros are much better than any other mapping service.,
Ray @ May 13, 2007
if ur planning 2 buy is think thrice
the phone is only for da show off and wasting the money nothing above that ....
go for some sony ecrssion phones they are worth buying when compare 2 NOKIA phones
rahul khanna @ May 13, 2007
kool gadget 2 be used all da features in it
gr8 work from NOKIA at last
Y.S.R @ May 13, 2007
The Nokia N95 IS a technological marvel. To cram so much in so less is beyond superb. Its AWESOME! But i personally think that at near 40000 bucks there is no real use of this phone except show-off! Most of the PDA's available do the same stuff with almost same connectivity options at a lesser price. As for the digi-cam -- Buy one......... Any 5 MP dedicated DC would give hell better image quality than the "superphone" and would cost you 5000-6000 bucks or even less... So coupling both the pda and the DC you get the same set of functions with much better results at almost the same price and the PDA will have an inbuilt DC too though of a lower res like 2MP which is quite enough for day-to-day and stupid prank shots......
Siddhant Saxena @ May 10, 2007
i dont c anything new in it except some which r not that usefull in everyday
except the 5mp camera.and for this price this is not a wise option
sanju @ May 09, 2007
this is the amazing, tremendous and stylise phone. it has good look, good features. This is the best phone launched by nokia till now. thankyou nokia.I have no words how i express my views for it. at the last i want to say i never see this type of phone. mind blowing, fantastic wonderfull. ok
bittoo swami @ May 07, 2007
can u beleive it. i can actually afford to buy this thing with my own money. i am 22 (have my own stock broking business). but my father wont allow me to buy this. because he thinks its toooo damn costly thing for a cell phone.

i think the saying is true there are some things u just cant buy for every thing else. there is master card. lolz (poor joke i know) sorry for that. i couldnt help it.

this is the phone of the decade !!!!

:D

santosh @ Apr 20, 2007
sorry folks this comment section is not giving feedback whether it is been posted or not and I ended up clicking multiple times.
Senthil @ Apr 20, 2007
Excellent phone. The pricing is right as of now as it has strong demand even at that price.

In couple of months the iPhone will be released and tne n95 price will be on par with that phone. Then the price comes to 25k but gato wait atleast 4/5 months.
Senthil @ Apr 20, 2007
I think apple iPhone is much better......nokia has definitely come up with a nice and phone full of features, but they should have given a thought while deciding on the price factor as it would have sold it like hot cakes had the price benn upto 25,000 INR instead 35,000INR.
Pawan @ Apr 19, 2007
R Malhotra
The i phone does not have connecting capabilities like the N95 like 3.5 G and things
The iphone tough has a good amount of built in memory
Casper @ Apr 19, 2007
Dear Sukanta
There is whole lot of diif. between a laptop and a phone
A laptop for around Rs.35000 cannot be put in ones pocket and does not have a 5 meg pix camera.
It depends on what u need not what u can buy from the same amount
Casper @ Apr 19, 2007
why not pick up the iPhone for $400 when its launched sometime in June? Except for the 5 MP camera (iPhone has 2), I believe iPhone can beat the N95 on every other parameter, and is way coooler than the N95?
R Malhotra @ Apr 19, 2007
Nice review! You guys could have included some pictures taken off the phone though.
ajathya @ Apr 19, 2007
Its a blind phone having all latest tech around it.. I didnt found anything new in it.. again on 35000 u probably has a ultra protable laptop which is nt so much bad idea i fell.. This is a life style phone and nokia ppl r targeting the right adince... Lets see wht marketin says.
