Visual Creativity
Since the Vision:W supports most video formats like AVI, DivX 4 & 5, XviD 4, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG4-SP, WMV9 and Motion-JPEG, and most movies etc. are available in the same, you really wont spend too much time converting any. That’s definitely a plus point. All you need to do is use the Creative Vision:W Media Explorer and transfer the files. The same software is of course used for music, calendar entries and other kind of syncing or transferring of data. Playback is great. You have the option of watching movies in their original windscreen formats that will have the black bands on top and at the bottom. Or you can also stretch the video to fit the whole screen. Unfortunately there’s no option for adjusting the contrast or brightness of the video while it’s playing or otherwise and that’s a bit of a downer. Thanks to the AV out, you can plug this baby into your TV and enjoy your movies on a larger screen. The quality may not be like watching a DVD but lets say it’s like watching a VCD. Now that ain’t so bad.
The image viewer is excellent for slide shows etc. so you can view it on the player or once again connect the player to your TV and view your pictures there. You also have the option of choosing any picture to be set as the wallpaper of the player. You can also zoom into the picture for actual picture resolution. There’s also the option of view as many pics in a thumbnail view on the screen or you can change the view to list. You’ll still get a thumbnail image though, and the name of the file (if it has one), so no worries there. You also have the option of rating your pictures like you would your music files.
