I could start this review by telling you how much of a masterpiece Mario Puzo’s novel was but for that, well I would have to read the damn thing first (yeah, I’m not much of a "reader"). I did however catch the movie (only the first one) and I though it was pretty cool but once again I really didn’t understand why people went loco over the movie; sure Brando rocked and the supporting cast were pretty cool too but I don’t know why people zeroed in on this one, but then again, what do I know about cinema, I wanted 'Harold and Kumar go to Whitecastle' to be nominated for the Oscars.
Either way some one at Electronic Arts must have been a fan and they decided to enter the free roaming genre with a game based on this movie. Now I know what you’re thinking; EA have a habit of fudging things up right? And you’re right in thinking like that since that does hold true to a certain extent but this time, they’ve done a pretty good job of the whole thing and even though this game won’t be overtaking GTA in this genre, they’ve still made a worthwhile contender.
The Godfather was released for the PC, PS2 and Xbox sometime last year and in case you are wondering, this isn’t a half hazard port of the game; oh no no!, EA has done a spot on job in porting this game to next gen consoles, but if you’ve already played the current gen version, there isn’t too much content over here that’ll warranty a purchase (unless you’re a really big fan or have tons of money lying around).

We never claimed to be sane in the first place...
And if you can read, it's the review of the XBox 360 port which isn't all that old; in fact it's only been a couple of months since this game's available in the Indian market.
