Samsung G600 – Rs 17,000
Samsung just loves the slider, and the G600 is no different. This lightweight phone is packed with features. Although it doesn’t have 3G it does support GPRS/EDGE. Naturally, it has a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, auto-focus and an image stabilizer. Thankfully, like some of the Metal Series in Samsung's basket, the G600 doesn’t have any touch-sensitive keys. It supports microSD cards for external memory, and offers USB and Bluetooth (A2DP) connectivity. Like the N82 and N95, it has a TV-out feature. A document viewer comes pre-installed.

LG KU990 Viewty – Rs 21,000
With its 3 inch touchscreen display, the Viewty may look familiar. What does it resemble? The iPhone, of course. But they’re worlds apart. For instance, the Viewty goes beyond a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, and offers a strobe flash. It also has an image stabilizer, face detection, and manual focus. For a bit of fooling around there's an in-built photo editor. Other features include 3G with HSDPA, EDGE/GPRS support, USB connectivity, and Bluetooth with A2DP.

Nokia N95 (Basic) – Rs 21,500
This dual slider has been around for a while and comes with most features – Wi-Fi, USB, Bluetooth with A2DP, TV-out, GPS (like the N82 with Nokia Maps) and stereo speakers. Sadly, the 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus lacks a xenon flash. The Carl Zeiss optics aren’t something to sneeze at though. A separate slider is dedicated to media and also changes the screen perspective to landscape. Being 3G-enabled, this handset supports HSDPA and GPRS/EDGE.
