Graphics: Sapphire Radeon HD 4850
It’s been a very long time since ATI even found a mention in one of our roundups. In a market that's been completely dominated by Nvidia, the reemergence of ATI through its 4850 series is a most welcome move.
The brand we've chosen is Sapphire, which has been ATI’s top OEM for a while. This has 512MB of GDDR3 on a 256 bit bus, has a core clock speed of 625 MHz along with a memory clock speed of 993 MHz, and supports PCIe 2.0. It offers a variety of display options including dual DL-DVI-I+HDTV. The card also supports DX10.1 and SM 4.1, and is fully compliant with ATI CrossFireX multi-GPU technology.
