After tasting massive success in the world of video games, the Halo juggernaut is slowly but surely rolling its way into other media as well. You have comics, graphic novels, action figures, Machinima series and more that pay homage to this multi-trillion-dollar franchise.
Today, we’ll look at some of the most popular ones out there.
Halo Uprising is a comic book published by Marvel Comics and the story is set in the Halo universe. The entire series is divided into four issues that take place between the events of Halo 2 and Halo 3.
The first issue that was released in August 2007 had a pretty positive reaction and many critics felt that this comic had managed to live up to the standards set by the rich and intricate Halo story.
The next three issues have been spaced out to appear on stands on a monthly basis but due to certain delays issue #2 is expected to hit the stands on 17 October 2007.

The announcement of the Halo movie received mixed reactions ever since it was announced way back in 2005. There were a few who were practically terrorized by this thought since games being made into movies don’t work out very well (most of the time) while there were some who literally wet their pants at the mere thought of Master Chief hitting the silver screen.
Either way, the game’s been stuck in production hell for a while now, with numerous delays and studio changes plaguing it through its development cycle.
As of now the only concrete bit of information we have on the project is that it’ll be directed by Neill Blomkamp and produced by Peter Jackson. Special effects will be handled by Jackson’s own Wingnut Studios (Lord of the Rings, King Kong).
