Bioshock (Xbox360 PC)
Release Date: 21st August 2007
Genre: Action RPG
A spiritual successor to the most excellent System Shock 2, Bioshock will immerse players in a horrific underwater city called Rapture as they discover the horrors that lurk underneath. Like any other RPG on the block, the game will make use of conventional weapons and Plasmids, abilities that will allow players to genetically modify themselves for that added advantage on the battlefield. The game will not ship with any form of multiplayer, but Irrational Games have made sure that every ounce of the single player experience is a memorable one and even though the game's not out yet, here’s a small little secret for ya; OXM (Official Xbox Magazine) got their hands on the game and they gave it a stellar 10/10.
Warhawk (PS3)
Release Date: August 28th
Genre: Action
Unlike the flight combat game released for the PlayStation way back, Warhawk for the PS3 will include vehicular as well as on-foot combat. The game will play out like a next gen version of Battlefield with tons of players taking each other apart using a barrage of futuristic weapons and vehicles like planes, tanks and jeeps. The game was to have a single player mode as well, but that got scrapped as developer Incognito Games turned all their resources towards the game’s multiplayer component. Two versions of the game will be released; one will be the downloadable version that you can get of the PlayStation Network while the other one will be the Blu Ray version that should hit Indian shores this September.
