Do you suck at remembering dates? Tired of browsing over a hundred sites to find out the release dates of your favorite games? I'm sure you have at some point in time and keeping your plight in mind we at Tech2 have decided to bring you a comprehensive list of all the must-have games releasing during a particular month across all major platforms. This data will be procured from either the game’s official site or inside sources (yeah we have a couple of them too) or local distributors like Milestone Interactive and even though we'll try and be as accurate as possible there's always room for change, so keeping that in mind, let's get on with the month at hand, August 2007.
John Woo Presents Stranglehold (Xbox360 PS3 PC)
Release Date: 21st August 2007
Genre: Third Person Action
Tons of guns, copious amounts of slow motion, and flocks of white doves can best describe Stranglehold in a nutshell. A spiritual successor of sorts to John Woo's 1992 masterpiece Hardboiled, Stranglehold sees Chow Yun Fat reprise the role of Inspector Tequila as he delivers massive doses of pain to the fools that kidnapped his wife. His quest for justice and revenge takes him halfway around the world and thanks to Epic’s Massive D technology he’ll be able to destroy what’s in it. The PS3 version of this game will come bundled with a Blu Ray version of Hardboiled while the 360 version will ship with the following:
- Poetry In Slow Motion - Behind-the-scenes documentary on Midway bringing the style of John Woo to video games.
- Extended Cinematic Sequences - Extended scenes which didn't make it into the final game.
- MTV Studio Visit - Follow MTV visit with the game team during crunch time.
- The Vision of Stranglehold - See the progression from concept art to final game.
- The Sound of Stranglehold - An insiders look at sounds design.
