All right, so 2006’s nearly over and if you felt this was a good gaming year, I think you’d better brace yourselves (saving up would be a good idea too) for 2007 since we have a lot and I mean A LOT of stuff to look forward; in fact the sheer volume of games is so gigantic, we’ve had to compile four different lists (PC, Xbox360, PS3 and Assorted) so your brain doesn’t fry with all the information. In addition to this, we also have our very own GOTY feature soon so just kick back, relax and enjoy the ride... only at Tech2.com
In today’s feature, we’ll take a look at what PC gamers can expect next year…
A spiritual successor of sorts to 2004’s jungle shooter Far Cry, Crysis will also take place on a tropical island; only difference is you’ll be protecting earth against an alien invasion instead of gunning down genetic freaks. Crysis will be one of the first DirectX 10 games to hit the market (but don’t worry, DirectX 9 cards will be able to run it as well) and will feature gorgeous and photo realistic visuals, courtesy of Crytek’s proprietary, CryENGINE 2.
PC gamers will finally get their hands on one of the most popular Xbox games till date next year when Halo 2 ships for PCs. The PC version will ship with the entire single player campaign as well a bonus Multiplayer pack and the ability to create your very own maps. The only catch? You’ll need Vista to indulge in Master Chief’s latest adventure.
