Step 2: Don’t sell your spleen, for a Widescreen
As you’ve probably guessed, the Xbox 360 is no good without a display. You could buy a standard definition TV, but then I’d have to kill you. What you need is a widescreen with high definition support. An HDTV is the first thing that comes to mind, but you’re not that rich remember? Don’t worry, there’s something that gives you as good (if not better) display quality as an HDTV and is much cheaper – a widescreen monitor. Our choice is the Viewsonic VG2230WM – a 22” widescreen monitor which supports high definition output. If you wanna know more about this baby, check out Jayesh’s review for the same. You can get this baby for around Rs. 23,000, which is a steal in my opinion.
Step 3: Can anyone hear me?
Unless you’re audibly disabled, you’re gonna need a either a good set of speakers or some nice headphones, since the monitor’s on-board ones aren’t even worth mentioning. If you want the best value for your buck, we recommend the Creative SBS 370, which can be yours for only Rs. 1,150. This 2.1 speaker set comes with two 2.5” satellite speakers, a Solid Wood sub-woofer and a handy little wired volume control that you can stick on surfaces that are easily accessible. This baby is a steal, and I recommend it for PCs even.
