PSP has had quite a dry spell till recent times with most games just being bad rehashes of their actual console versions. A few excellent game releases this year like Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, Field Commander and Tekken: Dark Resurrection (link to review) have shown off the PSP's real capabilities, but there’s still so much untapped capability just waiting to be explored.
But things are looking up! This year, PSP is finally getting the killer line-up it deserves. I’ve got a wish list ready of the 10 games I want to buy before the year ends. Take a look.
ATV Offroad Fury Pro
It's funny that even though the PSP is an ideal racing game platform, there are just a handful of them that are actually worth your time and money. What the console needs is more variety, and that's exactly what ATV Offroad Fury Pro will bring to the table.
Anyone who's played games like MX Vs. ATV on the PS2 knows how the series offers much more than the usual 'Accelerate, take the lead, win' formula and adds technical elements like mastering jumps and air control on uneven roads, and a lot more. I just hope they pull it off with the right controls or its going to end up as major wreckage.

Yukes is throwing in new match types including the Money in the Bank match, and even updating the old ones. You can also use the analog stick this time to control your characters, which is first for the series. With that said, I just hope they do something about the dreadful loading time they had in the PSP version of 2006 edition.
