Skins
Skins are stickers that fit on your PSP. So instead of sticking with a normal black, pearl (PSP Slim), blue or gold device, you have the option of really funking up your device. Unfortunately, PSP skins are not easily available in India. I looked high and low around the city but wasn't able to locate anyone who could hook me up with any. If you can afford it, you can buy them online for about Rs 800 (not including shipping). Check out Decalgirl to get an idea of what these skins look like.
Case Graphics
If you happen to be using a Logicool or Logitech hard plastic case, you can make cutouts to fit the rear and front panels. It’s quite simple – all you need is paper, a color printer if you prefer and (don’t tell Gagan I told you) Photoshop. All you need to do is copy the art into the frame and print. You can adjust it to your preference and it’s that simple. The best part is – it’s FREE! For some ideas, click here.

Wallpapers
The core of any device with a screen is its wallpaper. Well, not exactly, but it’s the first thing you’ll notice as soon as it’s switched on. The Sony PSP uses wallpapers with a 480 x 272 pixel resolution. You have the option of creating your own using any image-editing software on your PC. All you have to do is simply transfer the files on to the PSP (via USB) and you can choose one from the PSP menu.
Themes
Just like you have themes on your mobile phone the PSP also has them. Depending on the themes you’ll also have customized icons and wallpapers. Choose from aliens to superheroes to cars and (naturally) games. They’ll give your PSP a personal feel. You'll have to make sure that your PSP is upgraded to the required version in order to accommodate the theme files.
These are just few recommendations on how you can make the PSP experience better by jazzing it up. The prices included may not be standard over India, so it’s quite possible that you’d be able to get some of the items I mentioned for lot cheaper (or they’d be more expensive). Either way be sure to let us and others know.
If you have any other ideas you’d like to share, I’m sure there are plenty of guys out there waiting to hear them. So feel free to leave your comments or mail me. GAME ON!
