DVD player – LG DN192PH
Rs 4490
This player was reviewed on Tech2 recently, and I quite liked the product. It has one of the sleekest designs, with a minimal front panel – literally so, as no buttons are present on it.
The top half of the front panel has a black strip with a plastic covering, housing the tray and display, while the buttons are on the top panel, just at the brink. So this is an interesting design, making it look modern and classy.
It plays DivX, supports HDMI, has a USB slot, supports JPEG, and has everything you can ask for in a consumer DVD player, besides the regular component video and 5.1 channel analog output facility.
Performance was good in respect to its category, though the colors were off at times. This is tough to see as the TV we’ve selected has a good color palette; Samsungs are known for good saturated colors. The jaggie lines were in the tolerable region, while I like the High-def upscaling picture – it was clear and precise in 720p.
