This is another cool application that not only records Shoutcast streams but almost anything you throw at it. But there's a catch: you need to register, which means you will have to cough up money if you wish all formats to be supported.
However, you can record two streams at the same time using the free version. If you register you can download upto 600 streams at the same time and even download streams from last.fm, iTunes Radio, and Podcast, all with artwork.
You will love the way it captures artwork through Shoutcast, plus album information complete with ID tags. The bottom left of the screen will display the current artwork being downloaded. You only need to add the streams and it will rip them for you.
You can also create fadeaway effects and silences before and after the song if you want, or download the content as one big file. Here's a nice touch: if a channel plays the same song again, it will avoid re-recording it, so you don't end up with multiple copies of the same file.
Stationripper has its own web browser interface and a list of potential streams in each genre that you can pick up. You can set a time when the player should stop recording, and the number of songs it should record.
