In The Case Of Your iPod

The Great Outdoors
Like I said, there are plenty of us who love the outdoors and being able to take our music with us on the go is obviously going to be a bonus. But keeping it safe and yet accessible to use may not be easy. I mean you could just throw it in your bag and pull the earphones out from the zip but you’d risk getting the cord stuck in the zipper. There are of course bags and knapsacks designed with special provisions for slipping out your earphones from your players. But that also means your player is probably bouncing around in your bag. It could get scratched, or worse. The bigger problem is when you want to either adjust the volume or change the track. You'll have to reach into you bag make the changes and then slip it back.

This is where the specially designed outdoor iPod cases are excellent. A great example of a this is H2O Audio’s Outdoors casing for the iPod Nano — it’s the perfect accessory for your iPod, especially if you’re into outdoor sports like biking, trekking, jogging etc. It’s impact resistant and will keep your Pod quite safe from most of the elements. It uses a scroll wheel to function the iPod and has a dual locking slider system. What makes this case so appealing is the fact that it can be easily operated even if you’re wearing gloves. It also comes with an armband and removable belt clip, plus the newer models will also have special attachments for clipping it to your bike’s handle bars and other’s alike. The only problem is this particular case is not waterproof. So Rafting or any other water sports are definitely out.

Swim fans don't fret. If you're a water lover and are into water sports like canoing or even river rafting or just plain old pool swimming, H20 Audio also has a fully immersable case specially designed for when your iPod decides to take you for a swim. Or is the other way around? Hmmm…… H20's Waterproof case allows you to take your iPod with you underwater up to 10 feet. That’s almost 3 meters. It uses a similar locking system as the model designed for outdoor use but it has special waterproof connectors and again their patented scroll system. But what's most interesting are the specially designed underwater headphones. I wonder how music sounds underwater?

One of the world's most expensive iPod cases is made of Titanium. There was also one that was designed to be bullet proof. Who needs kevlar for protection in a gunfight, as long as my iPod is safe right. That's whats important.
