Four A2DP Phones Under Rs. 7500
By: Shayne Rana   |   Oct 05, 2007

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Bluetooth is now a way of life. Wirefree, stylish and with better sound quality than most normal earphones, the new headsets that work in tandem with Bluetooth phones that are A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) compatible are a great combo.

In earlier roundups we had suggested A2DP compliant phones for you in different price brackets. For example, there were phones under Rs. 15,000, those under Rs. 10,000, and now we look at four more that retail under Rs. 7500.

Nokia 5300 – Rs. 7000

The Nokia 5300 is a S40 based phone with a slider design. It’s small, compact and sleek, and comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera. It supports EDGE and even has Infrared if you use it. For PC connectivity you can use miniUSB. Of course it also has Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP support.

The phone is available in two colors – red and black, or dark gray. It has just 5MB of internal memory but you can use microSD cards to expand that. The music player is quite good and in case you find the bundled Nokia earphones not up to par, you can always get a 2.5mm to 3.5mm converter and use your own.

For those of you who tune into the waves, it also has an integrated stereo FM radio. If you don’t like the colors, go for the 'Transformers' special edition, which is available in full black – at a slightly higher price.

Samsung E250 – Rs. 5500

The E2509 is a slim slider that looks good. If it weren’t for the VGA camera and display that’s just 128 x 160 pixels, this phone would kick butt! But then again if you see the price tag, it still does.

The phone offers almost as many options as any other high-end phone: stereo FM radio, Bluetooth with A2DP, EDGE and USB (proprietary) connectivity. It even supports external memory using microSD cards. Quite the all-in-one handset in its price bracket.

Samsung E250
Network GSM 900/1800/1900, GPRS, EDGE

shayne gets your facts right please,,bluetooth transmission doesnt equal to greater quality,,it depends on the a2dp headphones you purchase if their made with good quality earphones.or ear plugs,,secondly the sound signal emmited from your handset to the bluetooth headset should be of good quality,,again that depends on the phone... so please dont misinform,,and using a 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm on a nokia 5300 which i have been using hooked to a pair of AKG or sennheiser,,sounds clear and with warm enough bass to make you think your basking in the sun.... about noikia 5300 it has an excellent sound spectrum,,and provides enough milli watt out put to even power larger sized headphones using the 2.5 to 3.5 mm converter..... by the way ive tried a2dp headphones on the 5300 it gives alot of problems
