This is the same 16x dual layer DVD writer as other DVD writers but with the added functionality of writing LightScribe DVDs or CDs. Again, LightScribe CDs and DVDs are just like normal CDs and DVDs but their top surface (the manufacturer’s label) has a special coating of a dye, which when subjected to the laser of the LightScribe writer, can take form of any image you like, in monochrome.
