Step One: The Picasa Effect
Once you have Picasa installed on your office computer, try to source a picture of you with your valentine or some generic stock lovey-dovey shot from Google Images or anything else you can get your hand on. If you can't find a picture of yourself with your girl, are you sure you're not stalking her? That's just wrong!
After you've opened the picture in Picasa, the first thing to do would be to crop it to size. You don't want empty spaces and other friends/relatives crowding up a good moment. Just go to the 'Basic Fixes' section and select the crop option there.
Next you need to head straight to the Effects section to add all the extra cheese. You can start by saturating the picture to make the colors look more vivid.
Add a bit of Glow too, to give that dreamy effect.
If you want to give Hallmark a run for their money, head to the Soft Focus effect and keep the center point right between yourself and your mate. You can adjust the size and the sharpness levels in the two sliders provided.
And now the final effect—Focal B&W to keep only the point in focus in color, and change everything else to black and white.
If you are blessed with another imaging software on your PC, then you can add a few lines of text to the image like and anything else your Valentine may like hearing. Take a full-page print of your fabulous (and fast) creation an move on to the next step.
