Enhancing Your S60 Device: Part II

Shozu Image Uploader
One of the most popular online activities today is picture blogging and gallery displays. This has been driven in a major way by the popularity of phones with high resolution cameras. Looking to capitalize on this, Shozu has been developed to allow you to upload your videos and photographs directly from your cellphone.

Shozu is a well-made application with an intuitive interface and is light on the mobile. It interfaces with a huge number of sites, including Flickr, Picasa, YouTube, Blogger, Wordpress, Windows Live and many others. Sending files is easy: a simple manager queues files in the background and lets you continue working. It is possible to add descriptions, tags, and specific titles for photographs and videos. Shozu has a mobile-friendly website that allows you to customize your accounts, making integration with the client even more seamless.

WorldMate

This is a name that any long-term Palm user will easily recognize. Having developed a well-deserved reputation for its Swiss army knife-like feature list, WorldMate has now introduced a S60-friendly version that gives you weather updates, flight information, a currency converter, and a world clock. The free edition includes a satellite map feature that displays real-time weather patterns. Though data is displayed in real time in most cases, some of the information can be only accessed by upgrading to a premium paid version.

There you have it; more applications that will help you make your Symbian S60 handset that much more useful. As we mentioned earlier, not all these apps are freeware and you would probably need to pay for the premium versions to get the most out of them. But stay tunes, because we'll cover more cool apps in our next update. In the meantime if you guys have any suggestions, please let us know through our forums or leave a comment.

also install python modules for your phone to try lots of free open share python apps , my favourite is the smartget download manager ,its like idm for pc.Also there is a freeware movie and tv streaming app called 10 live tv but its interface is in chinese though you can work it out.A must have is the lcg x-plore file manager, its awesome. For s60v3 os9 you can try rotateme app to rotate screen like iphone and n95 and n82 has accelerometer so play games like on wii. Also zesis theme diy to make themes on mobile, and zensis photorite sp is like phtoshop for s60.Also a must have for me mbi systems msdict dictionaries(not the java versions).hey tech2 should do something for s60 gaming too, nokia just gave 20000 free license for ngage fifa 2008.
