The Wii-xperience

You’ve probably seen tons of videos showing hot models playing the Wii looking all comfortable and happy and I hate to break it to you that it isn’t that pretty in real life; you will sweat, you will curse, your body will feel sore and you may injure people around you like so...
But all said and done it is tons of fun and it also doubles up as an awesome exercise. Control your diet and play Wii Sports for two hours every day and you are on your way to a healthier life.
Another extremely cool part about the Wii is that nearly all Gamecube titles can be played on it; yes the console is that backward compatible. All you have to do is plug in your old gamecube controller (since the Wii mote won’t handle older games all that well) and voila… your Wii just doubled up as a Gamecube. If that’s not enough, you can go online to the Wii shop channel where you could buy some of your favorite classics.
The Wii does have a decent library of games (it pwnz the PS3’s any day though) but unfortunately not most of these are available here and the ones that are, are priced at Rs. 2,500 which is the same price at what Xbox 360 games are sold so you may want to hold on till the price of the games as well as the console falls significantly.
Unfortunately even the console is sold at an absurd price in India (approximately Rs. 22, 000) so buying it from here is out of the question; the only option is a traveling relative/friend, but even then I would wait till the next wave of games hits stands.
This was our hands on experience with the Wii; we’ll have our in-depth review as and when we do get our own umm Wii (no jokes mmkay).
