Sahara Computers has launched its latest entry-level 8 inch laptop - Sahara- S- NB522434- EB00. This new machine is the latest addition to Sahara's Image Book Series.

The product which seems to be looking to tap the new ultra-light market that has emerged with the Asus EEE PC, sports an 8-inch LCD TFT screen, 60 GB HDD and weighs in at 1.1 kg. It runs on an AMD Geode LX 800 Processor and has an extended battery life of a respectable 4.5 hrs. In terms of connectivity it's Wi-Fi enabled and has a PCMCIA slot and a card reader.

The Sahara- S- NB522434- EB00 is available for Rs. 14,999. and is available countrywide through Sahara Computers' authorized channel partners and all ITJ stores.

BUT I HAD HEARD THAT THE PROCESSOR IS ENERGY EFFICIENT.
ANY DETAILS ABOUT ITS PERFORMANCE COMPARED WITH HCL MILEAP H SERIES COMING AT COMPARABLE PRICE?

A good price ,small size fine........but the processor which gives out such high heat is a problem and the speed too.....people would still prefer a tablet or a pda...

Not sure about it's functions as I have not seen it but if it works well, the problem of heavy and bulky laptops will be solved.Seems to be cost effective and has good memory too.
