Elon Musk-owned X has got a new coat of design changes and improved performance updates on Android. The platform has been hinting at an overhaul of the Android version since last year and now we are seeing those changes come to fruition. The details about the update for X on Android has been shared by the product head of the company in a post earlier this week.

He says this app on Android has been built from scratch which not only offers design changes but also allows them to push new updates and features at ‘lightning speed.’

The interface layout hasn’t changed much and you will notice all the regular options and features available as the earlier version. However, you can now choose to see posts for topics like stocks, politics, sports and pin those preferences to the top of the screen.

While you do get a new timeline based on these selections the regular For You and Following tab are still around. X has taken over a year to fix and make the changes, Bier mentioned in the post.

The search option also needs to improve and the company is planning for Video and video editor within the platform that are going to be added in the near future. The X on Android has got the update and people will now hope the platform is working on similar changes and improvements on iOS as well, which should be rolling out soon.
