Nothing may launch its first smartwatch this September, leak suggests

Nothing has sold smartwatches for a while now, just never under its own name. That could be about to change. A new leak suggests the company is developing its first smartwatch outside the CMF sub-brand, with a launch reportedly planned for later this year.
According to tipster Yogesh Brar on X, Nothing is building a smartwatch that will carry the company’s main branding rather than sitting under CMF. Brar says the watch will follow Nothing’s signature design language, the same transparent, component-visible aesthetic the brand is known for on its phones and earbuds, and will launch in September at a price under $300, roughly Rs 28,700.

The leak also mentions a limited release, though Brar didn’t specify which markets would get it first, or whether India makes the initial cut. He’s said to be sharing more specifics soon, though as with any unconfirmed leak, this should be treated as a rumour until Nothing says otherwise.

Nothing has never released a smartwatch under its own name so far. Instead, wearables have exclusively lived under CMF, the company’s budget-focused sub-brand, which currently covers the CMF Watch Pro, CMF Watch Pro 2, and the newer CMF Watch 3 Pro. A main-brand smartwatch would mark Nothing’s first real step into the category directly, likely positioned well above CMF’s pricing given the sub-$300 figure being reported.
For context on where Nothing’s wearables stand today, the CMF Watch 3 Pro is the most recent model in that lineup. It launched globally in July 2025 and arrived in India in May 2026, priced at Rs 7,999, available in Dark Grey, Light Green, Light Grey, and Orange.
It features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 670 nits, Always-On Display support, and more than 120 customisable watch faces. On the software side, it includes Bluetooth calling, ChatGPT integration, voice recording with transcription, gesture controls, and works with the Nothing X companion app on both Android and iOS.
Health tracking is fairly extensive too, covering 131 workout modes, dual-band GPS, heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen tracking, sleep analysis, stress tracking, women’s health tools, hydration and inactivity reminders, and AI-based running insights. It’s powered by a 350mAh battery, which Nothing claims lasts up to 13 days under typical use, and comes in an IP68-rated, precision-milled metal body with a removable liquid silicone strap.
If Nothing’s rumoured main-brand smartwatch builds on this foundation while adding the kind of design flair the company is known for, it could mark a genuine step up from what CMF currently offers, assuming the September timeline and pricing reported here hold up.
