Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026 roundup: Fold8 series, Watch9 and intelligent eyewear

Samsung unveiled three Galaxy foldables, two smartwatches and Gemini-powered intelligent eyewear at Galaxy Unpacked 2026 in London.

Samsung expanded its mobile and wearable portfolio at Galaxy Unpacked 2026 in London, introducing three foldable smartphones, two smartwatches and its first intelligent eyewear.

The announcements included the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2. Samsung also showcased AI-powered eyewear developed with Google, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra leads the foldable lineup with an 8-inch main display, a 6.5-inch cover screen and a 200-megapixel primary camera. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset and carries a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W charging.

The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 adopts a shorter and wider design with a 7.6-inch internal screen and a 5.5-inch cover display. It weighs 201g and features two 50-megapixel rear cameras, a 4,800mAh battery and the same Snapdragon chipset.

Galaxy Z Flip8 has a 6.9-inch folding display, a 4.1-inch FlexWindow and a 50-megapixel main camera. It uses Samsung’s Exynos 2600 processor and packs a 4,300mAh battery.

All three smartphones ship with Android 17-based One UI 9 and include expanded Galaxy AI and Gemini features.

Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra2

Galaxy Watch9 is offered in 40mm and 44mm sizes with displays reaching 3,000 nits. The two versions carry 390mAh and 445mAh batteries, respectively.

Galaxy Watch Ultra2 comes in a 47mm titanium casing with an 800mAh battery and a display capable of reaching 5,000 nits. It adds trail-running metrics, hydration alerts and automatic dive tracking.

Both watches use the Snapdragon Wear Elite platform and run Wear OS 7 with One UI 9 Watch. Shared health tools include Vitals, Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load, Fitness Index and sleep-apnoea detection in supported markets.

Samsung Intelligent Eyewear

Samsung’s intelligent eyewear runs on Android XR and uses the Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 platform. A built-in camera provides visual context to Gemini for navigation, live translation, message summaries and hands-free assistance.

Samsung claims up to nine hours of battery life, while the charging case provides up to seven additional charges. Gentle Monster and Warby Parker have developed separate frame designs for the device.

Availability

The new foldables and watches are available for pre-order in select markets. General Galaxy Watch sales begin August 7. Samsung has not announced the intelligent eyewear’s price or release date, while India-specific prices for the new products remain unconfirmed.
