Phone launches expected in May 2026: Vivo X300, OnePlus Nord CE 6, Oppo Find X9 and more

We are starting May 2026 with a loud bang and that includes some Ultra surprises for the consumers. The phone market has been subdued this year and the prices of the newly launched models don’t help but the industry will continue to persevere and we will see its fruit over the next few weeks.
Brands like Vivo, OnePlus and Oppo have confirmed their launches and some of the exciting products will be making their way to the Indian market in May and here are the details.

Vivo X300 Ultra
This is Vivo’s flagship model and another Ultra variant coming to our shores for the first time. The brand mainly focuses on a premium device with sharp and top-notch camera features and a dynamic system that can easily match or even better the iPhones and the Galaxy’s of this world. That said, you also get it with high-end hardware and other features like a fast-charging battery and a crisp AMOLED display on board. Expect the X300 Ultra to be priced much higher than Rs 1.20 lakh in the country.

Vivo X300 FE
Vivo is also bringing the new X300 FE model which may look a bit like the iPhone Air version with its unique camera setup. This will be sitting in the mid-premium segment and rumours suggest Vivo could replace the X300 model with the FE version in the market. The brand is expected to power the device with a Snapdragon 8 Gen chipset and offering Zeiss-tuned cameras that will work with the special extender kit.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra
Oppo is the other big Ultra entrant in the country this year and we will be getting the Find X9 Ultra model in the next few weeks. The Find X9 Ultra is tipped to carry a 200MP periscope telephoto lens along with a 50MP telephoto lens and two more high-quality sensors.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and up to 16GB RAM. The phone sports a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, a 7,050mAh battery, and 100W wired plus 50W wireless charging.
OnePlus Nord CE 6 and CE 6 Lite
OnePlus launched the Nord 6 in April and now the company is bringing the Nord CE 6 family to the market in May where it will also have the CE 6 Lite version. The brand seems to have got the ideal formula for its devices. Pack a large battery, give it a big screen and make the software fluid. The pricing of the Nord 6 for its features worked quite well and we hope the Nord CE 6 and CE 6 Lite gets the same treatment.
Tecno Spark 50 Pro
Tecno is also joining the ranks in May with Spark 50 Pro version expected to come with a 6,000mAh battery going by the teasers. The affordable device could have an iPhone 17 Pro-like camera island, and possibly feature an AMOLED display with a high refresh rate screen. It could be using a MediaTek Helio chip which should allow the brand to price the device aggressively.
