Galaxy S26 FE's Charging Speed Confirmed, and It Beats the Base Galaxy S26

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 FE just picked up a regulatory paper trail that’s more useful than the usual rumour. A listing on UL Demko, Denmark’s electrical safety certification body, has confirmed the phone’s charging speed, and it comes with genuinely interesting context once you compare it against the rest of Samsung’s 2026 lineup.
The listing, spotted by 91mobiles, names Samsung as the manufacturer and covers six regional model numbers: SM-S741W, SM-S741U1, SM-S741U, SM-S741B/DS, SM-S741B, and SM-S741N. The charging ratings listed, 15.0V at 3.0A or 10.0V at 4.5A, both work out to 45W of wired charging support, corresponding to Samsung’s Super Fast Charging 2.0 standard.

Here’s the detail that makes this more interesting than a routine spec leak. That 45W ceiling puts the Galaxy S26 FE ahead of the standard Galaxy S26, which is still expected to top out at 25W, and level with the Galaxy S26+, while sitting behind the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 60W charging. In practical terms, Samsung’s mid-tier “Fan Edition” phone will charge faster than its own numbered flagship this year, a gap that’s now held for two generations in a row, since the Galaxy S25 FE also shipped with 45W charging while the base Galaxy S26 hasn’t moved past 25W either.
Before this certification, the S26 FE, under model number SM-S741U, had already turned up on Geekbench running Android 17 with 8GB of RAM and a 10-core Exynos 2500 chip, scoring 2,426 in single-core and 8,004 in multi-core testing.

A separate, more recent Geekbench run tied to the Korean variant, SM-S741N, returned noticeably lower numbers, 2,255 single-core and 7,450 multi-core. That gap likely comes down to pre-release software tuning rather than an actual hardware difference between regional units, since multiple independent submissions across different model numbers have consistently pointed to the same underlying Exynos 2500 and 8GB RAM configuration. The chip itself is reportedly built on Samsung Foundry’s 3nm process using Gate-All-Around transistor architecture.
An earlier Wireless Power Consortium listing from June had already pointed to Qi2 version 2.2.1 wireless charging support and a rumoured 5,000mAh battery, a slight step up from the Galaxy S25 FE’s 4,900mAh cell.
There’s also a genuinely interesting open question hanging over this. Samsung just introduced silicon-carbon battery technology for the first time with the Galaxy Z Flip8, Z Fold8, and Z Fold8 Ultra, a chemistry that allows for higher capacity without adding bulk. Whether that same battery tech trickles down to the more affordable FE line this year, or stays reserved for Samsung’s foldables and next year’s S27 Ultra, which is separately rumoured to get a bigger battery, remains an open question Samsung hasn’t addressed.
Samsung has launched its FE lineup in September for the past two years running, and every report so far points to the Galaxy S26 FE following that same pattern. Samsung hasn’t confirmed the phone officially yet, so treat the chipset and charging details as credible leaks rather than settled fact, though a certification from an actual regulatory body carries considerably more weight than a typical rumour.
The Galaxy S25 FE offers a useful baseline for what to expect: a 190-gram body, a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, and that same 45W charging setup. Samsung looks likely to carry that same balance of performance and everyday practicality into the S26 FE, rather than reinventing the formula.
The bigger variable is price. With global memory costs still climbing, the S26 FE could land noticeably more expensive than last year’s model, some estimates suggest by 30 percent or more. That makes the eventual price tag arguably more important to watch than the spec sheet itself, since a meaningful cost increase could push buyers toward comparing the S26 FE against competitors more seriously than they would have with previous FE generations.
