Realme’s C100i already exists in a handful of global markets, but the version reportedly headed to India is being tracked under an entirely different model number, and it’s still not clear whether it’ll carry the exact same hardware.

According to a report from XpertPick, citing offline retail sources, the India-bound Realme C100i carries the model number RMX5399. The phone is expected to come in two configurations, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, and will reportedly launch in two colours, Skyline Silver and Midnight Black. No pricing or official launch date has surfaced yet.
Here’s the detail worth paying attention to. The Realme C100i already sold in some international markets uses the model number RMX5377, distinct from the RMX5399 number tied to the Indian version. Whether that means Realme has actually changed the internal hardware for India, or simply assigned a new model number for regional tracking and certification purposes, isn’t clear yet.

If the Indian model turns out to share its specifications with the existing global C100i, buyers can expect a 6.8-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset paired with LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. The phone also features a 7,000mAh battery with 15W charging, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a microSD card slot for expandable storage.
It’s worth noting this represents a shift from what earlier leaks had suggested for this device. Prior reports pointed to the RMX5377 variant running a Unisoc T615 chip instead, with only 4G connectivity, a 720 x 1,570 pixel display reaching up to 900 nits of brightness, an 8.35mm-thick body, and MIL-STD-810H plus IP64 durability certification. Whether that reflects a genuine spec change between early leaks and the phone’s actual retail configuration, or simply inconsistent early reporting, remains to be seen.
Why launches have slowed down
Separately, the report notes that Realme appears to be going through an internal restructuring that’s slowed its pace of new smartphone launches recently, with the company reportedly prioritising budget devices for now. Recent reports have also suggested a GT series flagship may not arrive at all this year. Realme hasn’t laid out an official product roadmap addressing any of this, so both points remain unconfirmed for now, alongside the C100i’s actual India launch timing.
