Google has introduced a new AI-focused Android experience called Gemini Intelligence at Android Show 2026. The company said the new system is designed to make Android devices more proactive and context-aware by combining AI, software and hardware capabilities to simplify everyday tasks across apps and services.

According to Google, Gemini Intelligence will first arrive on the latest Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel smartphones this summer. The company also plans to expand the experience to other Android-powered devices, including smartwatches, cars, laptops and smart glasses later this year.

One of the major announcements is AI-powered multi-step app automation. Google demonstrated how Gemini can complete actions across different apps using natural language commands and on-screen context. In one example, Gemini searched Gmail for course details before adding recommended books to a shopping cart. In another demo, users could long-press the power button while viewing a grocery list and ask Gemini to place a delivery order using the visible items.

Google also showcased image-based contextual actions. Users can photograph a travel brochure and ask Gemini to search for similar tour packages online for group bookings. The company said Gemini will pause after completing requested tasks and ask for confirmation before taking final actions.

Google additionally introduced a feature called Chrome auto browse, which can automate repetitive online tasks such as reserving parking spaces or booking appointments using contextual information from emails or tickets.

Autofill with Google is also getting upgraded through Gemini Personal Intelligence. Android devices will be able to complete more advanced forms using data from connected apps and services. Google clarified that the feature will remain optional and can be turned off through settings.
